2016 Highlights

Armed with New Perspectives, Ideas and Connections

Another successful and exciting HealthAchieve has come and gone, but the experience and lessons learned will live on as we carry out our important roles in health care. Armed with new perspectives, ideas and connections, we're ready to change our health care system for the better.

There really is no way to describe the contagious enthusiasm we all felt over the three days. As thought leaders, visionaries and creative minds took the stage to share their words of wisdom and vision for the future, we were reminded that HealthAchieve is the cornerstone event that sets the stage for the future of health system transformation.

Our award-winning exhibit floor saw some of the latest innovations in health care, showcased by local, global and international exhibitors.

Relive the HealthAchieve Experience or get caught up on what you missed if you couldn't join us this year.

The Keynotes

Amy Cuddy.jpg
Among last year’s 200+ speakers were our feature keynotes for each day. Monday morning kicked off with the Official Opening session featuring Harvard professor and social psychologist Amy Cuddy. Amy shared simple techniques to complete inner transformation, harness the power of presence and perform at the highest levels of confidence.

On Tuesday, attendees enjoyed a candid session with the celebrated comedian, actor and host Howie Mandel during the Feature Session. In a moving address, Howie shared his experience growing up with ADHD and OCD, and how these challenges helped to shape him and his career.

And, no surprise here, the crowd was in stitches during Rob Cohen's Closing Session on Wednesday. Rob took a hilarious and revealing look at the massive task of self-producing and funding a movie about Canada's national identity.

The Intelligent Health Pavilion™

Our second year of introducing a designated technology destination proved to be an exhibit floor showstopper! At the Intelligent Health Pavilion™, delegates observed how technology is improving patient care and safety while reducing the costs of health care. The space also included a leadership theater where several thought leaders took the stage to speak about important topics including automated medication, leveraging smart connected devices, interactive bedside terminals, practical considerations for IoT projects and more.

Coloring Station
At the HealthAchieve colouring station, delegates came together for a 'zen' break. Colouring with peers provided a wonderful creative outlet, and this was the stunning result!
