Award of Excellence in Nursing Leadership
This award is designed to acknowledge the outstanding leadership of an individual nurse in a senior leadership position (Vice President, Director, etc), who is employed in a member organization (hospitals, associates and affiliates) of the OHA.
Green Health Care Award
The Green Health Care Awards recognize hospitals and individuals who demonstrate leadership and excellence in reducing health care’s environmental impact. Awards will be granted for outstanding achievements in four categories:
• Energy Efficiency
• Pollution Prevention
• Waste Management
• Overall Leadership
• Individual Leadership
Quality Healthcare Workplace Awards
The Quality Healthcare Workplace Awards program was launched in 2010 to document, recognize and promote effective efforts to improve health care workplaces in ways that contribute to providers’ quality of work life and the quality of the care or services they deliver. Awards are given at four levels of excellence, which are, bronze, silver, gold, and platinum, with assessment designed to encourage self-evaluation, learning and improvement.
Small Rural and Northern Award of Excellence
This prestigious award recognizes innovation and excellence in the delivery of patient care within a small, rural and/or northern hospital and is open to individuals or teams who are employees, medical staff, volunteers or trustees.
Ted Freedman Award
The award recognizes programs that advocate and enable education in health, health services or health management at a healthcare organization.
Leading Practices Award
HealthAchieve, in cooperation with Longwoods Publishing invites submissions for the 2011 Leading Practices Electronic Display under the overall theme of Leadership. Leadership particularly in healthcare often has a focus on creating a better future. With this as a guiding principle submissions are invited in any of the five categories:
• Access to Care
• Governance & Integration
• Patient Experience
• Patient Safety & Quality
• Innovation
The Leading Practices Electronic Display offers provinces, regions, hospitals, health care institutions and health management organizations, locally and abroad, the opportunity to share what they have done to improve the Patient Experience in health care
